Depths of Reddest Heart

depths of reddest heart

in the final notch
of financial fate
death holds watch
at the dire strait

against this flood
of greed and sin
penned in blood
on parchment skin

a trail of debts
and deals apart
drawn from depths
of reddest heart

wager your soul
to roll the dice
a bell doth toll
the closing price

faces arranged
with eternal dread
dreams exchanged
for daily bread
